Kim Kardashian has had a brain aneurysm for longer than she thought.

On Thursday's (November 20) episode of The Kardashians, Kim told her older sister Kourtney Kardashian about doctors finding an aneurysm in her brain during a preventative full-body scan that they told her had "been there for years," per People. After getting the news, the SKIMS founder got in touch with brain surgeon Keith Black, who insisted on seeing her for further testing.

"I sent him a picture of it, and he was like, 'I want you to come in for all this imaging.' And then I asked, I was like, 'Can I wait? 'Cause what makes it rupture?' And they're like, 'Just stress.'"

According to the Daily Mail, this answer rocked Kim as she is no stranger to a stressful environment, with her various business ventures, burgeoning acting career while filming All's Fair, "studying 10 hours a day" for her bar exam to become a lawyer, raising her four children — North, 12, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6 — as a single mom and her rocky split from ex-husband Kanye West.

"I have four kids that depend on me. I have to be sane," she said. "It's stressful out there, but this aneurysm can't be stressed."

Kim's scary health update also concerned her family, including Kourtney, who shared her worries in a confessional.

"I'm definitely worried about Kim," she said. "She has so much going on between work and her four kids, that I don't want her to have an aneurysm, of course."

According to the Mayo Clinic, brain aneurysms are a "bulge or ballooning in a blood vessel in the brain" and are "common" but they could cause bleeding or a hemorrhagic stroke if ruptured.

Kim first revealed her diagnosis during the season 7 premiere of The Kardashians, blaming her contentious 2021 divorce from Ye for the added "stress" to her life. She shared an update last month during an appearance on Good Morning America, telling fans that "everything works out" and to tune in to her family's reality show to watch the story unfold.
