Welcome to "Black Owned Bites"...or what I like to call #BOB!! During these difficult times, we have seen small businesses and restaurants suffer and struggle to keep their doors open. What many of these restaurants provide for their communities are more than delicious eats, but also a sense of pride, passion, and in most cases, HOPE!
According to an article in the NY Times, "More than 40 percent of black business owners reported they weren’t working in April, when businesses were feeling the worst of the pandemic’s economic consequences. Only 17 percent of white small business owners said the same." When I read that, I immediately knew that I needed to use my platform on Z100 to let my listeners know about some of these amazing places that are defying the odds!
