Selena Gomez Looks Happy & Healthy In First Photos Out Of Treatment

Selena Gomez is back home.

The pop star, who checked into a mental health facility in October after experiencing what TMZ reported to be an emotional breakdown, finished her time at the treatment center, PEOPLE has confirmed. “She’s feeling much better and looking forward to getting back to normalcy,” an insider told the publication. “She’s spending time with friends and family.”

Reports of the "Hands to Myself" star's return to the real world arrived Tuesday (December 18) when the actress was photographed looking happy and healthy while on vacation at a ski resort with friends Connar Franklin and Good Witch actress Bailee Madison in a set of images posted to Instagram.

These pictures are the first we've observed of the 26-year-old in months since she was hospitalized twice at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in October for "an alarmingly low white blood cell count" linked to the life-saving kidney transplant she received from friend Francia Raisa in 2017 due to her complications with lupus.

The repeated visits reportedly drove Gomez into an emotional downward spiral and prompted the star to get help by undergoing dialectical behavior therapy — which aids with multiple mental health disorders — at an East Coast psychiatric facility.

This all came just weeks after the "Back to You" artist announced her social media hiatus via Instagram in late-September, stating, "As much as I am grateful for the voice that social media gives each of us, I am equally grateful to be able to step back and live my life present to the moment I have been given."

We're wishing Selena all the best!
